BOWDOINHAM – Olive E. Frizzle, 101, of Bowdoinham died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Brunswick, Maine. She was born on January 25, 1915 in Waterboro, Maine, the daughter of Leon and Mildred (Parker) Thompson. She was a graduate of Waterboro High School where she was a star basketball player. She was the Championship Foul Shooter for York County.
Karen Sue Seigars, 55, of Richmond, Maine passed away the morning of Saturday, August 20, 2016 after a brave fight with cancer surrounded by her loved ones.
Born Karen Sue Hook in Dallas, Texas on January 16, 1961 to the late Leonard B. Hook and Geraldine Hook of Bath, Karen graduated from Morse High School in Bath in 1979. In 2015 she earned her degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire College.
Karen worked as a barber at BNAS Exchange for 14 years before opening River View Barber Shop in Richmond, Maine. The “town” barber was never at a loss for words or a good joke to all of her customers with a smile on her face.
BOWDOIN - Richard L. Williams passed on August 15, 2016 at his home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. at New Meadows Cemetery in Brunswick.
RICHMOND – Alan B. Dodge, 74, of Richmond, passed away Friday evening July 29, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Togus with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born October 13, 1941 in Bath, ME the son of the late Elmer and Ruth (Gallagher) Dodge. He grew up in Bowdoinham, ME and attended local schools there. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School, class of 1959. After high school he attended Nasson College in Springvale, ME where he received his BA in English. In 1963 he enlisted in the Army and was an Officers Record Clerk. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
