Hilda Louise Toothaker Brooks died on January 8, 2026.
She was born in Richmond, the daughter of Clifton and Bessie Toothaker. Hilda was a graduate of Richmond High School as well as the Kennebec School of Commerce in Gardiner. She worked many years in the office of Viles Timberland.
On October 10, 1943, Hilda married Donald Brooks Jr. in Newport.
Hilda was predeceased by her parents, her husband Don, sister Christine Patrick and brother-in-law Francis M. Patrick, and her brother Clifton Toothaker Jr.
She is survived by her niece Anne Toothaker, and her Nephew-in-law Wendell Skidgel.
Services will be private.
