Terry Lee Sirois (Gott), age 68, died unexpectedly at her home in Bowdoin, Maine, on July 23, 2025. She was born in Brunswick on July 25, 1956, to Nancy Trask and Victor Lee Gott. Terry lived in Arizona with her aunt and uncle during her preschool years before returning to Maine, where she later lived in Athens. She attended Brunswick High School for a few years before graduating from Mt. Ararat High School.

She began her career at Bath Iron Works (BIW) as a pipefitter before becoming a planner, and she eventually retired after 40 years of service. During her long time at BIW, she made friends she enjoyed reconnecting with at Wednesday breakfast gatherings and through social media.

She married Richard Sirois on October 29, 1983. They had two children, Matthew and Michelle. Terry excelled at being a mom. She was selfless, warm, and caring, extending that love to her children’s friends as well. If you knew Terry, you knew what unconditional love felt like. She never missed a school function, sporting event, or milestone in her kids’ or her granddaughter’s lives. Terry adored being a Nana to Alynn Presby, Rylee Stone, and Mady Stone. She loved her pets and her grand pets; they were part of the family, just as important as the humans in her eyes.

Terry enjoyed tending her flower gardens and landscaping at her home. Popham Beach and Lookout Point held a special place in her heart. She found peace being outdoors, especially during summer and fall. One of her favorite memories was attending a Cher concert with Michelle. She loved trips to fairs, amusement parks, and sporting events, and was always excited for nearly any experience with her kids and granddaughters.

Surviving beside her husband are her son, Matthew Sirois, and her daughter, Michelle Stone; her granddaughters Alynn, Rylee, and Mady; her two sisters, Kim Carter and Jennifer Gott; sister-in-law’s Linda Cyr (Ronald), Diane Sirois, Susan Trask, Deborah Demos (Michael), and Brenda Arnold (Scott); several aunts, uncles, and cousins; seven nephews and three nieces.

Although Terry did not want a traditional funeral, a celebration of life will be held at Le Club Calumet, 334 West River Road in Augusta, on Saturday, September 6th, at 11 am. Comforting people with food brought happiness to Terry. Therefore, we invite friends and family to join us for lunch and share memories.
