Brunswick- Gerald L. Schweitzer, 79, of Richmond, passed away on April 2nd, 2025, at Maine Health Mid Coast Hospital.
Gerald was born on September 1st, 1945, the son of Theodore Schweitzer and Julia (Rispoli) Schweitzer.
He served in the US Army & Navy, worked at Staples in Brunswick, Cumberland Farms in Brunswick, Shell gas station in Greenville, Virginia, Nortons Electronics in Connecticut, and Macy’s department Store in New York. Gerald was a member of Smith Wiley Post 4 American Legion.
Gerald loved going fishing and camping, watching the Three Stooges, and the Andy Griffith Show. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, as well as tinkering in his workshop. He loved watching the New York Yankees play baseball and a good prime rib. He loved listening and singing along to Doo-Wop oldies music. He was always making his family and those who knew him laugh.
Gerald was predeceased by his wife Beverly J. (Harvey) Schweitzer, his parents, and his brother Ted Schweitzer.
He is survived by his step-daughter Mary Bishop and her husband Paul and their two children Tyler Stewart and Olivia Bishop, as well as his brother Walter Schweitzer and his family.
Services will be private with friends and family.
