Jonathan E Martin 1969-2023

West Gardiner- Jonathan E Martin (54) gained his wings November 2 after a long courageous battle with cancer at home with his wife Nancy and family by his side. 

Jon was born in Augusta, Maine on June 11, 1969, the son of David and Lula Martin of Richmond, Maine.  Jon attended Richmond schools. He learned at a young age to work by helping his dad in their garage doing mechanic work. That trait that Jon learned brought him to doing work he enjoyed. Jon loved hunting and fishing and was extremely proud of a 10 point buck he shot on his parents land. Jon was strong willed and stubborn at times but he had an enormous heart. 

Jon was predeceased by his parents David and Lula Martin, his sister Emily O’Kelly, brother in laws Bob Dinan and Mark Pearson. 

He survived by his wife Nancy Martin of West Gardiner, step daughter Kelly Leighton of Holly Hills Florida, sister Terry Martin of Philadelphia, sister Eileen Dinan of Lewiston, sister Dotty Pearson of Richmond, sister Ruth Hamlin of West Gardiner, brother Brian Martin and his companion Patty Ellis of Palermo, niece Faith Nadeau and her husband Randy, sister in law Noreen Foss of Augusta and many nieces and nephew as well as long time friends Ray Fellows of West Gardiner and Kevin and Sue Brannan of West Gardiner.
