Alfred L. Dunbar III

Richmond-Alfred L Dunbar lll passed away on August 19, 2023 after a battle with cancer. Alfred was born in Gardiner, Maine the son to Shirley Ellen Robbins Dunbar. Alfred was a life long resident of Richmond, he graduated from Richmond High School in 1977 and to this day has remained close with many of his classmates .

Alfred was passionate about men's league softball, the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Bruins, the Red Sox, friends, family and his sidekick Wilma . Those who knew Alfred will tell you he was a great storyteller and could remember many details about many people and places .

Alfred is predeceased by his mother Shirley Robbins Dunbar and survived by his loving Son Alfred Dunbar lV and girlfriend Heather Major and his granddaughter Natalie who he loved dearly. Alfred was blessed with many friends and family members that he has left behind to carry on and tell the stories,

but no one will tell it like Al did.

There will be a celebration of life for Alfred at the home of Dana and Tracy Tuttle , 85 Lincoln Street ,Richmond . Saturday September 9th at 2:00. At Alfred's request there will be a bit of Black Sabbath played at a ridiculous decibel .
