Melinda A. Cherkis, 52, of Dresden, passed in her home on May 13, 2023.

Melinda was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on June 22, 1970, the daughter of Charles Brooks and Cathleen (Barter) Dominguez.

Melinda (commonly known as "Mindy") was a proud member of the salvation army and found great peace in scripture. In addition to church, she enjoyed activities such as baking, drawing, tending to her garden, and sharing jokes with loved ones. Mindy's personality was very outgoing and loved taking every opportunity to give to others or make them smile.

Melinda was predeceased by her husband, Steven M. Cherkis.

She is survived by her mother and father, her stepfather, her two sons, her siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dresden, Maine on Friday, June 2nd at 11 AM.
