Litchfield- Shirley Elaine Alexander Dunn of Litchfield, ME went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 2, 2024.

Shirley was Born February 25, 1938 to Jay and Kathleen Alexander of South Gardiner, ME, and graduated from Gardiner High School class of 1956.

She married A/2^nd Class John L. Dunn, Jr. February 23, 1957 at South Gardiner Baptist Church.

She and John worked in Christian ministry in Baptist churches from 1965 through 2018. She loved doing secretarial work both in the Baptist Church organization and for private businesses. She established Ladies Groups in churches they served and was a leader in missions work. During their 21 years of ministry in Ellsworth, she was very active in Baptist Youth Camp (BYC). She was a wonderful mother to 5 children.

Shirley was predeceased by Her parents, Jay and Kathleen Alexander and sister Linda Alexander.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, her 5 children and spouses Pamela Bailey (Stephen), Susan Bowden (Bill), Steven Dunn (Doreen), Kay Whalen (Omar) and Rebekah Doughty (Harry), fifteen grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Per her request, services will be private.
