Beatrice R. Pulsifer

website PulsiferThe Family of Beatrice R. Pulsifer of Litchfield share the news of her passing on 9 November 2024.  Her journey to Heaven began after over 101 years here.  
Bea was born in Topsham, ME on 21 February 1923.  She grew up in Richmond, ME, moved to CT, then back to ME where she married her Husband, Paul H. Pulsifer of Brunswick in 1968.  At that time, she gained a daughter.  The family moved to Litchfield and once empty nesters, Bea and Paul moved to Crystal River, FL.  Bea remained there until March 2023.  At that time, she moved back to Litchfield, ME to live with her daughter, Debbie Collins.  On 4 July 2024, she began her stay at Winship Green in Bath, ME where she received care from CHANS Hospice in Brunswick and passed peacefully.
Bea was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her parents, Charles and Nettie Douglass; her sisters, Evelyn, Lena, Verna, Doris, Florence, and Barbara, her son-in-law, Arthur (Skip) Collins, Jr. and her Granddaughter in law, Ashley Collins.
She is survived by her Daughter, Debbie Collins; Grandchildren, Darren Collins, Kim Graybill and husband Ken: 5 Great Grandchildren, Evie, Lauren, Landon, Jonathan and Caden; a special nephew and his wife, David and Rona Bernier; a special niece, Nancy Wilbur; and a community of friends in Crystal River, FL.
Bea enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening, fishing, cooking, puzzles, learning about natural remedies, word searches, and volunteering in her community.
She worked as a nurse, ran her own daycare and preschool, provided elder care in her home, and did sewing for others. She enjoyed a full and active life.
Her private burial will be in the Spring.  Any memorial donations may be given to CHANS Hospice in Brunswick (specifying to be for her care team) or Midcoast Humane Society in Brunswick.
The Family would like to thank CHANS Hospice in Brunswick for their excellent care and love given to Bea, as well as their support for the family.  They also want to thank those of the staff of Winship Green who cared for Bea in a loving manner.  Also, thank you to all her friends who became family to her while she was in Florida.
