Hallowell/Richmond- Marjorie P. Adams, 103, of Granite Hill Estates, passed away on November 18, 2024, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta.

She was born on May 31, 1921, to Earl and Pauline Preble. She attended Richmond High School, graduating with the class of 1938.

Marge worked at Ames Woolen Mill, Etonic Shoe Co., both of Richmond, and Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. of Portsmouth N.H.

She had many interests; knitting, sewing, macrame, crafts of all kinds, refinishing furniture and traveling, where she and her husband traveled to every state at least once and she also made a trip to Paris, France with Yvette Dickinson-Brann, her other traveling buddy.

Marge was predeceased by her parents, her husband Hugh, sister Dorothy Dickinson, nephew Bruce Dickinson.

She is survived by her daughter Janice Ashcroft, grandson Scott Pickett, nephew Rex Dickinson, stepdaughter Betty Stubbs, stepson Hugh Adams, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in the spring.
