Christine E. Frizzle
Christine E. Frizzle, a devout Red Sox fan, took her last at bat on September 25, 2024 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was first drafted on January 12, 1962 by Margaret and Allan Frizzle Jr of Bowdoinham. She was one of six players drafted by the Frizzle's.
In her youth Christine attended schools in Bowdoinham and graduated from Mt. Ararat High School in 1980. In training she briefly attended the University of Maine in Farmington before realizing her key position was in the minors working with adults with cognitive disabilities. She was quickly called to the majors and spent most of her career in management at Independence Association in Brunswick.
Christine always enjoyed reading/collecting comic books, swimming, taking drives, playing games on her laptop, raising hell and making others laugh. She was extremely proud of her collection of Red Sox souvenirs and memorabilia.
Christine's sense of humor was one of the most notable qualities that she possessed. Her goal when interacting with anyone was to make them laugh and that was often accomplished, even with complete strangers. Another of her many notable qualities was the intense love she had for members of her family and her friends. She adored her nieces and nephews and when meeting them for the first time had to check all of their cute little toes!
Christine is predeceased by her coaches, father, Allan, her mother, Margaret, and eldest sister, Sonia Moeller.
Christine will be missed by the teammates who survive her, siblings Rebecca (Richard) Ellis of Bowdoinham, Robert (Katherine) Frizzle of Richmond, Arthur (Deborah) Frizzle of Bowdoinham, Marilynn (Michail) Grizkewitsch of Richmond and brother-in-law Joseph (Sonia) Moeller of Moscow. She will also be missed by her many fans-beloved nieces and nephews, dear cousins, specifically Susan (David) Denham of Bowdoinham and Tobey Frizzle of Bowdoinham, and many friends she held close to her heart.
The family will be retiring her number in a celebration of life held at Minnie's house-195 River Road in Richmond on November 3, 2024 from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm.
In remembrance of Chris, true to her nature, the family asks that for those who wish, pay it forward and do a kind deed for someone else.
