Bing C. Tribbet

Bing picRichmond-Bing C. Tribbet, 75, passed away on July 5, 2024.

Bing was born on July 20, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, to parents Dennis and Marguerite Mealey Tribbet.

Bing graduated from Richmond High School in the Class of 1967, while holding several part-time jobs, already exhibiting the strong work ethic which stayed with him his entire life.

After graduation, he began working for Peachey Builders of Augusta as their bulldozer operator.  During this time he also served in the National Guard as a member of the 152nd HEM Company out of Augusta for six years.  In 1982 he started his own excavation business, which he ran successfully until recently when his declining health prevented him from continuing.  He enjoyed the years when his son Jeff worked with him in the business.

He married Martha Anderson in 1969 and within a couple of years decided to build his young family a new home to live in.  Decades later, with his son-in-law helping, he built his daughter and her family a home next door on family land.  He was a man who could make dreams come true.

He enjoyed helping his family, vacationing and going on cruises, his work, and his weekly poker games with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha; daughter Jennifer Ridenour and husband Derrick; son Jeffrey Tribbet; and his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Olivia Ridenour.  He is also survived by his brother Barry Tribbet, sisters Lauri Sidelinger and Cleo Garcia, sister-in-law Sally Tribbet, and their families, and many cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather Monroe Stockton, and brother Bruce Tribbet.

He chose not to have a funeral service.  We will remember and keep him in our hearts forever.
