Bowdoinham-George E. Libby, 88, passed away on June 29, 2024 after a brief illness with family by his side.

He was born in Portland on October 12, 1935 the son of Irvin and Marion Libby.

George worked for many years as a grounds foreman for Bowdoin College.

He enjoyed going to fairs, working cattle, anything outside and particularly time spent with family.

George was predeceased by his parents, wife Darlene Libby, children George Libby Jr., and Tammy Dershem.  He survived by daughters Melinda Burrell and husband Stewart of Bowdoinham, Hope Libby of Augusta, Heather Ruona of Richmond, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 7th at 2pm at the Bay View Cemetery, Bowdoinham.
