Evelyn Marie (Hooper) Barrows passed away on May 13, 2024. She was born in Sedgwick, Maine on November 14, 1931. She graduated from George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill in 1949 and Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. Evelyn married Robert K. Barrows in 1953. She was a long-time member of both the Orono Quilters Club and the Eastern Maine General Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Evelyn is survived by her children Mark W. Barrows and his wife Sherrill Barrows, Scott A. Barrows and his wife Julieann Barrows, and Susan Barrows; her grandchildren Ashley B. Bianconi and her husband Andrew Bianconi, Caitlin M. Barrows and her fiancé Trevor Smith, Ian W. Barrows and his wife Allison Barrows, Robert J. Levesque Jr., and Benjamin W. Levesque; and a special cousin Helena Dow. She was predeceased by her husband Robert K. Barrows and her parents Hilda Maker Hooper and Ashley Hooper.

No service is planned. There will be a family gathering at the time of interment.
