Bowdoinham-Irene F. Christian passed away July 7th, 2019 with her two unofficially adopted daughters, Connie Peacock of Dresden and Jacinta Blodgett of Bowdoinham, by her side. 

She was born May 6th, 1936 in Danbury CT., to Victor and Luana Staib. 

After graduating from Newton High School class of 1954, she married Walter A. Cole.  They had four children and later divorced.  In 1963 she married her beloved husband, Roger A. Christian, who predeceased her in 1984.  Irene was also predeceased by a daughter and son.  She is survived by a daughter, son, multiple grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many friends. 

Irene loved to crochet, knit, and craft with plastic canvas; she loved birds, flowers, and going to car shows. 

At her request, there will be no visiting hours.  A service will be held at the Central Maine Veterans' Cemetery, on Civic Center Drive, in the outdoor pavilion, and then she'll be buried next to her husband, Roger.
