William C. Keating

KeatingRichmond-William C. Keating, 36, of Richmond passed unexpectedly on May 20, 2019.

Will was born on February 19, 1983 in Portland, Maine.  He attended Richmond schools as well as The community school in Camden, Maine where he graduated. Will enjoyed working as a welder for the Local 716, traveling all over the United States.

A bright light that attracted many, Will was best known for his loud, individual laugh and his quick, witty sense of humor.  Will was blunt and honest to a fault.

Will was a strong and caring husband, father and friend, and he loved his family fiercely, especially his son.  You could always find them spending time together.  They enjoyed fishing, racing cars, camping and building all sorts of things.  He also enjoyed spending time with his siblings, Jameson, Hannah and Mackenzie, making them laugh and teasing them to no end.

Will liked to talk shop about cars, fabricating and fishing.  Will had become an avid fisherman over the past few years.  Most nights you could find him on the water in search of that Big Bass.

Will was predeceased by his grandparents, John I. Keating Sr. and Christina Ashley Keating.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Keating; son, Dempsey Keating; mother Christina E. Keating with her partner, Kenneth Johnston, of Windham; siblings Jameson Keating and his wife, Jamie, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Hannah Keating of Portland, Mackenzie Keating of Windham, Marybeth Thayer; and In-Laws Ellen and Bill Holmes of Richmond, Maine.  He leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins whom he loved.

Family and friends may visit on May 29, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond, Maine.  A funeral will be held on May 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland for family and friends.
