Mt. Vernon - Clinton A. Feyler, 87, of Mt. Vernon passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 11, 2019. Clint was born in Newcastle, ME on August 6, 1931, a son of Charles E. and Hattie M. (Weaver) Feyler.

Clint attended local schools and went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He served as a Tank Batallion Commander and received many medals, ribbons, and citations throughout his service including 2 Bronze Service Stars, a National Defense Medal,  and a United Nations Medal. He was a member of the Jefferson Grange.  He worked at Bath Iron Works for
34 years as a pipefitter and welder.

Clint, aka "Snoopy", was known throughout Maine's stock car racing community for his success on local short tracks. His dedication to, and passion for, the sport he loved was exhibited by his recent induction into the Maine Motorsports Hall of Fame. When not at work on his race cars,  hewas always willing to help his friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed
rebuilding antique tractors.

Clint is survived by his wife Jeanne (Colby) Feyler of 61 years; his daughters Audrey Mazeika and her husband David of Petersham, MA, and Lorna Maiona and her husband Christopher of Norfolk, MA; grandchildren Maxwell and Camden; his sister, Marie Boynton, and many nieces and nephews.

Clint was predeceased by his parents, his step-mother, Flora, brother Charles Jr, sister Phyllis Lilly, and his grandchildren Colby and Antonio Maiona.

A graveside service and celebration of his life will be held at the Jefferson Grange and Trask Lawn Cemetery on Route 215 in Jefferson on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 11-2.
