Cecile A. Chapman
AUGUSTA - Cecile Aline Chapman, 82 of Augusta went to her Heavenly Dwelling Place on March 3rd, 2018 while surrounded by family and friends at Graybirch following a battle with cancer.
She was born in Wallagrass, Maine - the third eldest of six children to Edward J. Toussaint and Ida Pelletier Toussaint. Cecile loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a woman of Faith and loved watching EWTN and attending Church related activities.
She was a devout member of St. Mary’s and now St. Michael’s Parish as well as St. Andrew’s and St. Denis in her early years. Cecile attended prayer meetings regularly at the St. Paul Center and most recently at St. Monica’s Chapel and was a member of the third order of the Carmelite’s.
She is survived by: daughter, Sharon Woodward of Richmond and boyfriend Jeffrey Severance, grandchildren Jessica Alexander her husband Andrew and great- granddaughters Emelia and Evelyn, granddaughter Danielle Beck her husband Isaac and great- grandson Cameron, her grandson Brandon Woodward his girlfriend Gennifer and great-granddaughter Daphne.
Her daughter Diann Sanborn and husband Michael of Sebago and granddaughter Deirdre and grandson Nolan. Sisters Rina Viollette and husband Leo of Manchester, Lucille Roussel and Dora Brunelle of Augusta, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ms. Chapman was predeceased by: her mother Ida P. Toussaint, her father Edward J. Toussaint, her sister Priscilla, brother Edward Toussaint Jr., Uncles Daniel, Fidele, Raoul and Patrick Pelletier, Aunts Germaine and Ernestine Pelletier, cousin Patrick Pelletier, nieces Linda and Brenda Roussel, nephew Raymond Violette and son in law Barry Woodward.
In celebration of Cecile’s life there will be a recitation of the Rosary on Friday March 9th at 8:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Western Avenue in Augusta followed by the Holy Mass at 9:00am - all are welcome.
