Richmond-Victor A. Gagnon, 84, of Hatch St., died on November 26, 2017 at VA Medical Center, Togus.

He was born on November 23, 1933 in Richmond the son of Ernest and Eva Gagnon.

Victor proudly served his country during the Korean War.  While in Japan, he was part of the Army Ski Team.

Victor was a member and past trustee of the Gardiner Eagles, Aerie 4330, Past Commander of Richmond Post 132 American Legion, past finance officer of the Kennebec County Legion Scoutmaster troop 610 of Dresden, VFW and Bowdoinham Masonic Lodge.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, dancing, ice fishing and camping.

Victor worked Pratt and Whitney, Bath Iron Works and was a self-employed carpenter.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Henry, Arthur, Ernie Jr., Norman, sisters Rosanna, Helen, Margaret, Geneva, Lorraine, and son Trent Gagnon.  Victor is survived by sons Edward of Texas, Glenn and wife Jill of Texas and Vic’s longtime partner Charlotte Beasley of Richmond and her children Tina Cadrette, Ken Beasley, Robert Beasley, grandchildren Courtland, David, Adrian, great grandchildren Chloe and Preston.

A funeral service with military honors will take place on Monday, December 4th at 2pm at the Old Maine Veterans Cemetery, Civic Center Dr. Augusta.
