Wayne L. Bodge
Dresden-Wayne L. Bodge, 71, of the Indian Rd., passed at home in the early morning hours on Thursday, December 1, 2016 with his wife at his side after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on September 10, 1945 the son of Harold and Edna Hatch Bodge Lilly.
Wayne was born, raised and lived in Dresden all his life. He attended Bridge Academy, graduating
at age 16, as valedictorian of his class of 1962. Following graduation, he acquired a teaching
degree from Gorham State Teachers College, and then was drafted into the Army, where he earned "5"
medals while serving his country in Vietnam.
Upon returning to the States, Wayne was an employee at Clarostat. He eventually became part
owner/president, renaming the business Richmond Contract Manufacturing, over a span of forty five years.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Theresa, two daughters, Aimee Andrews and husband Craig, Nicole Bodge, one grandson SAWYER who was the apple of his eye, all of Dresden, one sister, Evelyn
Cocores of Ivoryton, Ct, two brothers Ronald (wife Dottie) of Wiscasset and Steve (wife Patty) of
Dresden, two sister-in-Iaws Gail (husband Carroll) Small of Richmond and Merlene (husband Steve)
Pelletier of Sabattus and one brother-in-law Tim Terrell of Richmond, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Wayne most enjoyed boating with family / friends on the Kennebec, outings to Bar Harbor and
Boothbay, and was truly dedicated to his business in Richmond.

Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 11 to 1pm, with funeral services commencing at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. There will be no committal services at this time.
