Dorothy Eliza Ellis
14 July 1924 - 14 November 2016Dorothy was born in Portland, Maine to Thomas & Dorothy Stretton.
Dot married the love of her life, Donald Ellis, October 15th, 1946.  They shared 67 happy years of marriage.Dot served the church in many capacities over the years, holding may offices in addition to 4 yrs. Mission office, 2 yrs. District President for the UMW, and 2 yrs. Conference Lay Members.In 2004, Dot & Don moved to Oklahoma and quickly became a part of their new community.  Dot was a member of The Singing Seniors Choir, UMW,  and Seniors on the Go at the Methodist Church, along with volunteering at the Election Board in the City of Moore.
Dot remained active till the age of 91 before she reluctantly had to slow down.Dot always enjoyed her work within her community and church however, first and foremost in her heart, were family and friends.Dot was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alfred and Thomas Stretton, her husband Donald and son Stephen.
Dot leaves behind daughters, Marcia Lechner and husband Edward, Karen Wood and husband Melvin, sister-in-law Donna Grenier and husband Hank, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 26th at 1pm at the funeral home.
