Richmond-Robert E. Sidelinger Sr., 93, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his home.

He was born on October 25, 1923 in Richmond, the son of James and Merle Sidelinger.

Upon graduating from high school Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. serving during WWII and Korea.  Bob later went on to work for the United States Postal Service retiring in 1978 after 32 years of service.

Bob enjoyed wood working, reading, and being a handyman around town.  He was a member of the Richmond Fire Department, selectman and cherished contributor to the Richmond Players, "Bob the builder".

He was predeceased by his parents, brother James Norris Sidelinger jr., and sister Yvonne Chetley. Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years Claire Sidelinger, sons Robert Sidelinger Jr. And wife Beryl of Richmond, Bruce Sidelinger and wife Jennifer of Florida, sister Janet Beairsto of Florida, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 18th from 1 to 3pm at the funeral home.
