Horace “Win” Moody
Dresden – Win Moody passed away peacefully on his 86th birthday May 6, 2016 at MaineGeneral Nursing and Rehabilitation at Glenridge in Augusta, Maine after a long illness surrounded by his family. The family would like to thank each and every one that was involved in Win’s care over the past five years at Glenridge and MaineGeneral Hospice.
Win was born on May 6, 1930 in Pittston, Maine the son of Walter E. Moody Sr. and Estella (Hunt) Moody. He attended Bridge Academy in Dresden.
Win worked for Williams Construction for more than 50 years. He also served as a Selectman and Road Commissioner for the Town of Dresden for many years. Win was known for being a hard worker and “saying it like it is.” When Win wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Win was predeceased by his wife Hazel (Robbins) Moody, his son Donald E. Moody, his father and mother Walter and Estella (Hunt) Moody and his brothers Marty and Walter E. Moody Jr. He is survived by his children Horace (Pudge) Moody and wife Brenda of Pittston and their children Aaron, Adam (Sarah) and Ashley Moody and twin great grandsons Emerson and Grayson Moody. Daniel Moody and wife Sherry of Dresden and their children Danielle and Kristen Moody. Sandra Smith and husband Jack of Scottsville KY. Sharon Morin and husband Jerry of Brunswick. Joseph Moody and wife Linda of Las Vegas, NV. Brothers George Moody of Vernon, Florida and Harry and Carolyn Moody of Pittston.
