Earle B. Gilley

Earle GilleyWEST GARDINER – Earle B. Gilley, 80, of West Gardiner has gone to his
final resting place. He departed peacefully on Tuesday, October 20,
2015 in Augusta, surrounded by friends and family. He was born on
January 12, 1935 in Augusta, the son of Bertrand and Beulah (Grant)
Gilley.

Just before starting high school, Earle decided to join the
Navy in 1952 and continued to serve until 1955, when he received his
Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the Labors Union in Augusta for
several years before founding and building West Gardiner Beef, a
successful business that He was extremely proud of, and is still going
strong today.

He was a Proud member of Hermon Masonic Lodge #32 And also the Kora
Temple Shriners. Also a member of the Gardiner Elks, Eagles, American
Legion, and V.F.W (also a member in good standing of the "Liars Club"
at the local McDonalds morning crew). Everyone would say Earle always
had a story tell. And Earle would say "I've lived one hell of a life"
He is predeceased by his parents.

Earle is survived by his five daughters, Belinda Biondillo and husband
Ed of FL; Bridgette Gilley of Gardiner; Karen McGillicuddy and husband
Joe of Manchester; Dawn MacMaster and husband Doug of W. Gardiner;
Shelley Gilley of W. Gardiner; two step-sons, Todd Pierce and wife Lisa
of W. Gardiner; Walter “Bob” Pierce and wife Betty of Windsor; former
wife, Sharon Gilley of W. Gardiner; and several grandchildren and great
grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 25, 2015 at 2pm at
his daughter Shelley’s home, 36 Moose Hill Road, W. Gardiner, ME. A
graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Herman
Masonic Lodge, Gardiner.
