Togus-Milan G. Adamek, 87, of Gardiner died on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Togus. He was born in Greenwich, CT., on August 29, 1927 the son of Andrew and Amelia Adamek.

Milan had a long and distinguished career in the United States Army. He proudly served in the WWII and Korean wars. Milan enjoyed reading the newspaper, dancing, movies, leaf peeping, his dog pickles and trying various restaurants.

He was predeceased by his parents, first wife Katherine Mildred Adamek, brothers Robert and Daniel Adamek and step son Lee Shorey. He is survived by his Evelyn Adamek of Hallowell, brother Walter Adamek of New York, 5 step children Carman, Jennette, Richard, Pamela, Lorraine, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 3rd at 12pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at old Maine Veterans Cemetery, in Augusta at 2pm.
