Lois J. Palmer

WATERVILLE - Lois Joanne (Brown) Palmer of Waterville passed away on March 27, 2015.  She was born to the late Charles and Eva Brown on December 10, 1934.

She grew up in South Portland, Maine before moving to Winslow where she raised her two children.  For many years, she enjoyed spending winters in Palm Harbor, Florida.  Lois was an avid reader and loved to do many crafts.  She was a long time member of Pleasant Street United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Martha Washington #15 Order of Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eva; brother, Bruce Brown; and husband, Edgar R. Palmer.

Lois is survived by her sister, Dora Jean (David) Bullerwell, brother, Michael (Joanne) Brown; son, Jeffrey (Joanne) Shaw, daughter Kathleen (Timothy) Ahearn; step-daughters Kathryn (Leonard) Brue, Deborah (William) Pierce, Christina (John) Geary, Susanne Meserve, step-son, Gregory (Margaret) Palmer; grandchildren Derrick (Sarah) Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Meghan (Michael) Beauregard and Matthew Ahearn; great-grandchildren Collin and Jake Shaw.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, 61 Pleasant Street, Waterville ME  04901.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 2 pm at Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, Waterville, with The Reverend Thomas Blackstone officiating.
