Mildred L. Moore
TOPSHAM - Mildred L. Moore moved on to a better place on January 10, 2015, after a long illness. She was born in Orono, ME on March 30, 1936 to Frank and Lillis (Wing) Bryer. Millie graduated from Deering High School, class of 1955. She was a very energetic and outgoing woman who enjoyed community and family events. She served as president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Smith Tobey Post 21.
Millie is predeceased by her husband Emerson E. Moore, Ret., Navy. As a navy wife she was very hard working and often worked many jobs to support her family. She loved music, dancing, socializing, crafting, knitting, sewing, playing cribbage and card games, helping others, and most of all, her family.
Millie is survived by her sister, Joan Farrin (Bryer) of Middleton, MA whom she loved dearly.
Also surviving is her daughter, Debbie Hale and her husband John of San Diego, CA, her son, Stephen Moore and his wife Donna of Groton, CT, her daughter, Cheryl Gauthier and her husband Michael of Brunswick, her son, Frank Moore and his wife Cameron of Topsham.
Millie is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrea Benoit, Arthur Moore, Stephanie Delvalle, Cassandra Buzzell, Christopher Moore, Nicholas Moore, Samantha Moore and many special nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant Street, Richmond, ME on Friday, January 16th at 11:00 am, followed by a gathering at the American Legion, Smith-Tobey Post 21 in Bath. Internment and a celebration of Millie’s life will take place at a later date.
