Pauline E. DeRaps

Pauline DeRapsRICHMOND - Heaven gained an amazing angel January 4th, 2015: Pauline Eva Fitzgerald DeRaps.  Born in Quincy, MA on July 17, 1928, Polly was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie Fenwick Fitzgerald of Belfast.  She was educated in Belfast schools before marrying Ernest DeRaps; they would have celebrated their 64th anniversary this month. Cherished memories will linger for years to come.  Rest in peace wife, sister, mama, mimi and aunt.

Polly was a strong-willed, caring woman who was never afraid to speak her mind and who always put her family first.  She loved reading, sending notes and cards in the mail, and "skunking" her husband at cribbage.  She regularly kept in touch with her many loved ones and was infamous for her pleasant, yet often long-winded, telephone conversations.  Polly was predeceased by her beloved sister, Joan Tyler of New Jersey.  She is survived by Ernie, their six children and spouses, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, beloved sister Anita of Belmont and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family sends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Mid-Coast Hospital and Bodwell Hospice for their loving care of Polly.
