Newcastle-David K. Chapman, 88, of the South Dyer Neck Rd. died on February 2, 2014 at Togus VA Medical Center.
He was born on October 8, 1925 in Dresden the son of Frederick and Florence Chapman.
David proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He later worked as a marine worm digger.
He enjoyed reading and was a good mechanic.
David was predeceased by his parents, daughter Faith Nadeau, brothers Robert, Eddie, Howard, and Philip Chapman, sisters Maxine Freeman, Rosie Bowdin and Janice Revock. He is survived by his son Gordon Chapman of Richmond, brothers Louis Chapman and Gerald Chapman both of Lewiston.
Burial will take place at Maine Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
