Merle F. Benner

RICHMOND-Merle F. Benner, 64, of Main St. passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Damariscotta, on March 10, 1949 the son of Clarence & Carolyn Benner, whom he adored.

Merle enjoyed keeping busy with work and special projects around his home. He loved an early morning coffee with his co-workers, a visit to the casinos, attending and watching Nascar races, time with family and friends. He and his wife enjoyed many years boating and snowmobiling, as members of the Swan Island Yacht Club and Snowmobile club. He also loved his beloved dog Sophie. Merle had a life long profession 40+ years as a master heating technician for Main Street Fuel. No matter what time day or night he would be there for anyone in need with a smile on his face keeping our furnaces burning and hearts and homes warm.

Merles' contagious smile, laugh, wise cracks and take on the world attitude will leave those close to him with loving memories of him until we meet again.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Jolene Benner, his favorite sister and brother-in-law Bippy and Chad Clark, their two sons Luke and Beau, the Loon family, close friend Runette Waterman, Brothers Stewart Benner and Steven Benner, Sister Sharon Kelley, three children Jody Benner, Alison Allen and Doreen Burns, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Gary & Roberta Nash, Diane Hall and his Main Street Fuel family. Merle had so many people in his life the list would be endless.

A celebration of Merles’ life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:OOp.m., at 207 Alexander Reed, Richmond, ME 04357.Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home 130 Pleasant St. Richmond, Me
