Ernest “Ernie” C. Savage
Bowdoinham-Ernest C. Savage, 67, of the White Rd. and formerly Richmond died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
He was born in Richmond on December 15, 1943 the son of Donald and Hazel Savage.
Ernie worked for Bath Iron Works Hardings Plant for over 30 years as a ship fitter. He was also a member of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department for over 32 years.
Ernie enjoyed wood working, being a member and director of the Litchfield fair, yard work, haying with Dick Brown and especially being with his children and grandchildren
Ernie was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Judy Savage of Bowdoinham, daughters Patricia Hurley and husband Mark of Bowdoinham, Laurie Carver and husband Bruce of Richmond, Tracie Anair and husband Bob of Richmond, son Don Savage and his wife Theetra of Richmond, sister Linda LeMont of Eustis, grandchildren Brittni Carver, Gregory Hurley, B J Carver, Ashley Hurley, Ben Carver, Jessica Anair, Kelsea Anair, Ella Grace Savage and special friends Jim and Jane Welch of Topsham, Frank Pottle of Topsham, Eleanor Jones of Richmond and many other friends.
A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, October 28th from noon to 1pm with a funeral service taking place at 1pm all at the funeral home. A burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Richmond.
