Woolwich-Wilford E. Rice, 78, of the Middle Rd. in Woolwich died on October 26, 2011 at the Hospice Palliative Care Unit, Togus.

He was born on June 28, 1933 in San Antonio, TX the son of Linnie and Anita Rice.

Will proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, retiring in 1973 as a Master Sergeant.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting antiques, his two dogs Cassie and Toby and particularly time spent with family. Will was a member of Richmond Post 132 American Legion, DAV, AMVETS and the Bath VFW.

Will was predeceased by his parents, brothers Milford and Early Rice. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Sherry Rice of Woolwich, sons Roger W. Rice and his wife Vicki of Virginia, Wilford “Andy” Rice and his wife Diana of Bowdoin, Clifford Rice and his wife Jennifer of Richmond, brother William Rice and his wife Shirley of Alna, Harvey Rice and wife Linda of Bowdoinham, sisters Marion White and husband Steven of Bath, Sylvia Russell of Tennessee, grandchildren Maegan, Laura, Haley, Sarah, Andrew, Sophie, Nathan, Ryan, Ethan, Adriana, Elijah, Rowan, Sadie, Gideon, great grandchildren Blake, Charlotte, Oliver, many nieces and nephews.
