Wiscasset-Wayne R. Fincher, 63, of Bath, Maine died on November 17, 2009 at the home of his caregivers Julie and Bill Giles.

Wayne was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Marjorie Fincher of Five Islands, Maine and Robert Garcia.

He was a member of the American Legion in Bath. Wayne enjoyed time with friends and watching news shows on television.

He was employed in the tin shop at Bath Iron Works until he was disabled by a series of strokes.

Wayne was predeceased by both parents and an infant grandson.

Wayne is survived by his sister Marlene Barter of Arrowsic and her partner Barbara West, sister Candace and brothers Joseph and Michael. He also leaves six children: Laura, Kimberley, Steven, Wayne, Robert and Damion, several nieces, nephews and grandchildren, as well as close friends Julie and Bill Giles.

Family and friends will gather to remember his life on Saturday, November 28 at the American Legion hall in Bath at 2 p. m.
