Phyllis E. Brackett Schools
Freeport-Phyllis E. Brackett Schools, 94, of Richmond, wife of the late George W. Schools Sr., died on October 9, 2009 at the Freeport Nursing Home.
She was born on May 6, 1915 the daughter of the late Roland and Agnes Brackett.
Phyllis lived in her own home in Richmond until the age of 92. Before retiring, she was a longtime employee of Etonic Shoe. She was an active member of St. Ambrose Church where she was a Past President of the Ladies Guild, sang in the choir and always helped with the church suppers.
Phyllis was predeceased by her sons, Charles and George Jr. and a daughter Jeannette O’Brien. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Marilyn Schools of Newington, CT., son-in-law William O’Brien of Brunswick and daughter in-law Kathryn Schools of Richmond. Grandchildren Mark, Randy, Carol, Chris, Kevin, Craig, Kyle, Coleen, Joyce and nine great grandchildren.
There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 13th at 10 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Richmond. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Richmond.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you and appreciation to her grandson Mark and his wife Marcia for their love and care given to grandma during her stay at the nursing home. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Freeport Nursing Home for their excellent care given to Phyllis
