Paul D. Burr Sr.
Bowdoin-Paul D. Burr, 66, of Burr Lane passed away at his home after a long illness on July 9, 2009.
He was born in Milford, Maine on December 1, 1942 the son of Douglas and Doris (Hall) Burr.
Paul drove tractor trailer for Decoster’s Egg Farm and many others for several years. He worked at BIW for over 20 years in various capacities. He was also a Fire Fighter Call Man for the Brunswick Fire Department for over 20 years and assistant Fire Chief in Cundy’s Harbor for several years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals and especially time spent with family.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, son Brian Brent Burr, sisters Doris LeClair and Shirley Griffin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Mina Burr of Bowdoin, son Paul Burr Jr. and wife Angela Hennessey of Bowdoin, daughters Bonnie Pearl of Brownville, Laurie Irish and husband Russell of Richmond, Sandra Grenier of Whitefield, Tammy Fox and husband James of Chicago, sister Pam Burr of Brunswick, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service performed by the Brunswick Fire Department will take place on Wednesday, July 15th from 12 to 1pm with a service to follow at Parkview Adventist Church on Upper Maine St. in Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers donations may be to Paul’s wife Mina Burr.
