Richmond-Johann W. Janiszcak 64, of Richmond passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2009 at his home.

He was born in England on April 1, 1945 the son of Stanley and Noreen (Greene) Janiszcak.

Jo was passionate about his involvement in the community and expressing his political and social views.

Jo proudly served his country in the United States Navy retiring in 1985. After retirement he also worked for Lockheed, Kay & Associates and Village Candle.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Jo was very dedicated to his family and is survived by 5 children, one sister, three brothers, 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, May 31st from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.

A private funeral service will take place at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
