Barbara Hutton died on January 14, 2009 in Brunswick, Maine. Barbara lived in New Haven and North Branford Connecticut until she retired and moved to Coral Springs Florida and later to Maine. She was born in 1925 to Winfield and Marion Colby, and worked for Southern New England Telephone Company. She married Frank Hutton in 1950, who died in 1983, and is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hutton of Bowdoinham, Maine, her grandchildren, Sam and Colin Hutton, and her son in law, Tim Belcher. She leaves many strong friendships, particularly with Jean Holt and other women who grew up with her, and who later worked and raised families together. She played a central role in the lives of many young people who grew up in her community, including especially Lars and Eileen Selander. A memorial service will be held later in the year in Connecticut.
