Alice Call
DRESDEN — Alice M. Call, 83, of Ludwig Road, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at her home.
She was born in East Millinocket on Aug. 25, 1925, the daughter of Harry and Sadie Tarbox. She graduated from Madawaska High School in 1944.
On July 19, 1954, she married Lawrence M. Call Sr. in St. Johnsbury, Vt. They made their home in Dresden.
She was a longtime member of the Bowdoinham Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, on Jan. 24, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Call Jr. of Richmond, and Robert Call and his wife, Ethel, of Dresden; a stepson, Ronald Call and his wife, Sharon, of Greene; two brothers, Gilbert Tarbox and his wife, Ruby, of Richmond, Herbert Tarbox and his wife, Polly, of Gardiner; a sister-in-law, Barbara Tarbox of Oregon; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place in the spring.
