Norma Wallentine Talbot
TOPSHAM - Norma Wallentine Talbot, 69, of Middlesex Road died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 after a long illness at Midcoast Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born in Richmond, Maine on January 2, 1939, one of four daughters of Charles and Josephine Wallentine of Bowdoinham, Maine. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1956 and married Rodney L. Talbot of Brunswick in August of that year. They initially lived on Wallentine Road in Bowdoinham, then moved to Mallet Drive in Topsham and eventually settled at Middlesex Road in Topsham. Norma was a member of the Kennebec Art Club, Crusade Capers, and Downeast Yacht Club in Boothbay Harbor. She was an instrument rated, multi-engined private pilot, traveled all through Europe, Greece, Russia, Lithuanian and every state of the United States except for Idaho. She was a skier, boater, enjoyed gardening and decorating her house. In 1989 she also participated in the Trek Across Maine. Surviving are her husband, Rodney L. Talbot of Topsham, and two children, her son Dean Talbot and his wife Kim of Topsham, her daughter Melanie Wintle and her husband Scott Wintle of Hollis; two sisters, Aldona Sekarski and Lo
louise Thorn of St. Louis, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jayme Wintle, Tegan Talbot, Alden Talbot, Dayton Wintle and Reagan Wintle; along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, September 14th from 4 to 7pm at Kincer Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Monday, September 15th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bay View Cemetery Bowdoinham.
