Leo “Bugs” Frederick Trott
Richmond-Leo F. Trott, 76, of 226 Front St. passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at his residence.
He was born on January 21, 1931 in Gardiner the son of Walter and Bertha (Brown) Trott. Leo was a 1949 graduate of Richmond High School. He married Janet Moeller on Dec. 7, 1951.
Leo proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Mediterranean. Bugs was a 47 ½ year veteran of Bath Iron works, retiring in 1995 as a lead man straightener.
He was a member of the Richmond American Legion and fifty year member of the Village Lodge, Bowdoinham.
Leo enjoyed watching the Red Sox, but, the most important part of his life was his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Janet of 56 years, his sons Rog and wife Sharon of Topsham, Wally and wife Susan of Richmond, Darrell of Richmond, daughters Pam and husband Michael of South Gardiner, Carole and Husband Richard of Lusby, Maryland, his special loves his grandchildren; Nathan, Shana, Samantha, Erika, Andrea, Alana, Spencer, Hilary, Annie, Kelci, Richard Alan, great grandchildren Wyatt and Owen, special brother Charles of Richmond, special aunts Millie of South Gardiner, Bertha of Gardiner, special brother in-law Joe and wife Evelyn of Bowdoinham, sister in-law Georgia and husband Jim of South Carolina, brother in-law Fred and wife Tillie of Arizona, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, December 27th 1 to 2pm at Kincer Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2pm with Pastor Tom Frey officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery, Dresden.
