Roland E. French

Richmond-Roland E. French, 73, of Beech St. passed away on Monday, November 5, 2007 at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.

He was born on March 17, 1934 in Waldoboro the son of Percy and Marjorie (Johannison) French.

Roland proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He later worked as a tow truck driver for Joe Branch. Roland enjoyed boating, motorcycling, gardening and eating BBQ. He was also a member of Post 132 American Legion in Richmond.

Roland was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife Joanne French. He is survived by his daughters Jene Sherman of Richmond, Geneva French of Rockland, Victoria French of Houlton, son’s Walter French of Massachusetts, Michael French of Rockland, Roland Sherman of Richmond, sister Judith Grover and husband Joe of Gardiner and several grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, November 8th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Kincer Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 13th at 11am at Kincer Funeral Home with burial to follow at 1pm at the New Maine Veterans Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta with military honors.
