Richmond-Robert C. Bodge Sr., 77, of the Langdon Rd. passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Maine Veterans Home, Augusta, after a long courageous battle with heart trouble.

Bob was born in Richmond on July 31, 1930 the son of Maurice and Lina (Whitney) Bodge Sr.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Ganneston Builders of Augusta as a construction supervisor for over 27 years.

Bob enjoyed horse racing, going to casinos, traveling and especially spending time with family. Bob was also a life time member of the American Legion Post 132 in Richmond.

He was predeceased by his parents, Brother Maurice “Bud” Bodge Jr., Sister Marjorie Hall, grandson Ronnie Sutter Jr., son in-law Ronald Sutter Sr., and his beloved cat Dresden. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years Pauline Bodge of Richmond, daughters Brenda Sutter of West Gardiner, Donna Smith and husband Harry of New Hampshire, sons William Robbins and wife Carla of Topsham, Robert “Bucky” Bodge Jr., and wife Debbie of Richmond, Kenneth Bodge and wife Patricia of New Hampshire, Randy Bodge and wife Kathryn of Richmond, sister Shirley Stiles of Florida, brother Michael Bodge and wife Sandy of Richmond, sister in-law Glenna Bodge of Richmond, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 10th from 4 to 7pm at Kincer Funeral Home. A funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, September 11th at 2pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Richmond with military honors.
