Carl E. Jackson Jr.
AUGUSTA -- Carl E. Jackson Jr., known to his family and friends as "CJ," 34, of 18 Deer Ridge Lane, Augusta, passed away suddenly on June 1, 2007, in his home in Augusta.
He was born Oct. 29, 1973, in Alcert, Ind., to Carl E. Jackson Sr. and Joan L. Noble.
CJ worked his whole life as a mechanic jack-of-all-trades, recently for Double K Garage in Waterville. He enjoyed spending time working outside, from working on cars to mowing his lawn and anyone else's that needed it. He loved to enter the Windsor Fair Demolition Derby and did so yearly. The time he enjoyed most was the time he spent with his family and friends. He was the kind of man that would give to you before himself.
He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Douglas and Faith Hallowell; and stepfather Oland Noble.
CJ is survived by his wife, Sheila Jackson of Augusta; sons Carl D. Jackson and Christopher Jackson of Augusta; mother Joan L. Noble of Waterville; father Carl E. Jackson Sr. and his wife, Brenda Jackson, of Pittston; sisters Tracy Rowe and her husband, Glenn, of Palermo, Billy Joe Stonehocker and her husband, James, of Winslow, Lisa Perry of Augusta, Sherry Poulin and her companion, Paul Bernard, of South China, and Erin Greene Martinez of Arizona; brother Jason Jackson of Pittston; sisters-in-law Cindy Hallowell and Stephaine Hallowell of Windsor and Alicia Hafford of Houlton; brothers-in-law Casey Hallowell of Winsdor, Matthew Hallowell of Augusta and James Hallowell of Lewiston; uncle Larry Jackson of Augusta; best friend Paul Jackson of Augusta; and several nieces nephews and cousins.
CJ was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be forever loved and missed by us all.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, at West Gardiner Baptist Church on Hallowell-Litchfield Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kennebec Kidney Center, 164 Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
