Constance G. Jones
Richmond - Constance G. Jones, 75 of Myrtle Street died on Mother's Day, May 13, 2007 at her residence.
Born on December 17, 1931 in Southampton, New York, Constance was the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Hunt) Juneau of Tiverton Rhode Island. She grew up in Fall River Massachusetts and graduated from Bryant College in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. On April 25, 1953 she married William H. Jones Jr. (predeceased in 1997)
Constance was actively involved in her community in a variety of ways. She served as Business Manager of the Brunswick School Department for over twenty years retiring in 1994. During that time, she served as a Past President of the Maine Association of School Business Officials. She is former member of the Wiscasset Yacht Club, the U.S. Power Squadron and she was an active member of the Richmond Senior Citizens Group and the Red Hat Society.
Her favorite past times included spending time with family and friends. An avid ten pin bowler, Constance earned many high awards including the 600 club, and local and regional championships.
Constance was predeceased by her beloved husband William Jones and her parents. She is survived by her son Robert W. Jones and his wife Pam of Alna; Debra A. Brown of Pennsylvania; Lynda L. Bernier and her husband Stanley of Topsham; Barbara J. Burns of Wisconsin, Constance H. Jones-Morris and her husband Samuel of Boothbay Harbor; Ellen C. Jones of Richmond and step son William H. Jones III of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Kincer Funeral Home - 130 Pleasant Street, Richmond. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Dresden.
