Gerald “Jerry” Norton Seigars Sr.

Mt. Holly, N.J. - Gerald N. Seigars, 69, of Richmond, died on Saturday, November 4, 2006, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey.

Gerald was born on January 11, 1937, the son of Albert John and Alice Plummer (Trask) Seigars. Gerald attended Richmond schools. On September 3, 1955 he married June C. Fossett. He worked for Ernest Purinton in Richmond for 18 years before beginning his own construction company; Gerald Seigars Trucking in 1973.

Gerald loved meeting and helping people, country music, antique equipment, boating, horse pulling and wintering in Florida. He was a member of many organizations including Village Lodge #26 A.F & A.M., Lebanon chapter #8, ME Commandry #1, Kora Shrine Temple, Kora Karts, Merrymeeting Shrine Club, Kennebec Valley Shrine Club, Pine Tree Truck Association, Highland Village Mobile Home Assoc., and the American Antique Truck Association. He was also the past President of the Lions Club and past President of the Conrad Mobile Home Association down in Florida.

Gerald was predeceased by his parents, son Stephen Lee Seigars in 1994, brothers Clayton, Earl, Albert, Robert and Raymond, and a sister Marion Lilly.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years June, son Gerald Seigars Jr. and wife Carol of Dresden, daughters; Patricia Deer and husband Carl Wayne of FL, Kathleen Seigars of Richmond, daughter in law KathyRae Beckwith of Monmouth, brothers; Guy D. Seigars of Richmond, sister Rebecca Small and her husband Dale of Richmond, grandchildren; Christopher Seigars and his wife Kellie of WA, Carrie Lynn Goodreau of MA, Joseph Deer of FL, Allyson Seigars of Farmingdale, Elizabeth Seigars of Farmingdale, Brian Seigars of Richmond, Sara Ames and husband Jaime of WI, 4 great-grandchildren Danielle Seigars, Madison Seigars, Sailor Ames, Stephen Goodreau, many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 7th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Kincer Funeral Home with a Masonic Service being held at 7pm. A funeral Service will take place on Wed. November 8th at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery on Main St. A gathering will take place at the Richmond American Legion Carding Machine Rd. Richmond after the burial.
