Richmond-Helen L. Howard, 90, of the Ridge Rd. Passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Glenridge Nursing Home, Augusta.

She was born in Litchfield on July 26, 1915 the daughter of John and Jennie (Jordan) Huntington.

Helen graduated from Litchfield Academy class of 1935.

She was a member of Litchfield Corners Congregational Church and longtime member of the Richmond Post 132 American Legion Auxiliary.

Helen retired from Geiger Bros. of Lewiston after 22 years of dedicated service.

She was very active in summer softball, receiving a plaque, reading Number 1 Fan.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband in 1988 William Howard, daughter Constance Bourgoin, brothers Mike Huntington, Horace Huntington, Percy Huntington, Floyd Huntington, Nathan Huntington, George Huntington, sisters Marion Babb and Clara Hayes. She is survived by her son Vincent Howard and his wife Faye of Richmond, daughter Sylvia Tracy of Turner, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 30th from 2 to 4pm at Kincer Funeral Home 130 Pleasant St. Richmond. Funeral services will take place on Monday, May1, at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be next to her husband at Maine Veterans Cemetery.
