Vernon Carroll Cunningham
Gardiner-Vernon Carroll Cunningham, 77, of Gardiner died at home on Saturday 2/11/06 after a long illness.
Vernon was born on 3/24/28 in Gardiner and was educated in Gardiner schools.
Vernon was best known for his carpentry skills and enjoyed fishing and camping. He was employed by Maine General in Augusta and Gardiner in the Carpentry Shop and retired after 14 years of service. He was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Farmingdale.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Dostie Cunningham and his 4 children: Wayne C. Cunningham and his wife Donna of Chelsea; Gail A. Richards and her husband Donald of Rockport; Peter P. Cunningham of Livermore; Susan M. Gove and her husband Michael of Gardiner. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
At Vernon’s request no public service will be held. The family will be holding a private service at Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond.
