Harold C. Sproul

SproulRICHM0ND - Harold Charles Sproul, 88, passed away on Friday,
February 3rd, 2023, at his home after a brief illness. Hal was
born on June 25th, 1934, in Bangor, the so
n of Donald G. and
Lucy E. (Gray) Sproul.

Hal made the most out of every second of his life. From
chi
ldhood to retirement he worked multiple jobs, on the farm, in
ga
rages, serving in the Army of the United States, driving truck,
construction, and finally retiring after a lengthy career at
BIW. After retiring, he kep
t busy mowing lawns, helping his
friends and neighbors,
refurbishing, and rebuilding tractors,
building small lighthouses and many other one-of-a-kind
creatio
ns.

Hal enjoyed roller-skating, water-skiing, snowmobiling, seasonal
camping and many road trips with his friends
. He took care of
his wife Ellen, helped his relatives, and enjoyed endless
celebra
tions with the many people he knew.

Hal was predeceased by his wife of nearly 57 years Ellen May
(Burton
) Sproul, his parents, brothers Dickie, Bob, Bill, sister
Joan
ne, special friends Ken, Victor, Dennis, and many more friends
and relatives
. Hal is survived by his son Tom and wife Linda,
his daughter Deborah
, grandchildren Eric, Megan, Jason, great-
grandch
ildren Madyson, Connor and Colby, sister in-law
Charlotte
, brother in-law Bob, close friend Chuck, special
friends Connie, Pok
ie, Teddy, Wayne and wife Becky, Doris, special
aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces Tina and husband Matthew,
Wendell, Betty, Don, Butch and wife Linda, Joan, Robert, Ken,
sister Donna (Sproul) Qua
m, and many more relatives and special

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, February 11th from noon to 2pm, at the funeral home with a funeral to follow. Burial will take place in the spring in Forest Hill Cemetery, Dresden.
