Richard Dunbar
Richard Dunbar Sr, 81, of Bowdoinham, passed away on January 18th 2024 at Central Maine Medical Center from a heart attack. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed.
He was predeceased by his ex-wife Debbie Dunbar, his son Richard Dunbar. Jr, and his grandson Robert Despres. He leaves behind his wife, Ludivina Dunbar, his son Joe Dunbar, his daughter Candy Dunbar, his sister-in-law Clarrisa Ramirez, his daughter in law Theresa Despres, his granddaughter Angela Despres, great grandsons Donnovan Adams and Darian Smith, as well as several brothers and sisters and extended family.
Richard grew up in New Gloucester, before moving to Bowdoinham over 60 years ago. Richard was well known and respected throughout the Bowdoinham community by his friends and neighbors. He owned several businesses throughout the years from his home, including a small engine repair shop, a very popular and successful multi acre raspberry farm, and a bottle redemption center.
Richard had a love for country music as well as classic western tv and movies. He also attended church through the years at Richmond Corner Baptist Church in Richmond.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 3rd from 2:00-5:00 PM at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St in Richmond. A full funeral service will be held in the spring at Bay View Cemetery in Bowdoinham, at a date and time to be announced at a later time.
