Zena Don
Zena Don passed away quietly on Friday, the 21st of July 2017. She lived a full life. Born in Rostov on the Don, Russia in 1927 to Anastasia and Ivan Kumow, she survived WWII, Stalin, life in an internment camp, and by her own account, her mother-in-law! She enjoyed a good story and was a ravenous reader with the more salacious the story the better. She enjoyed a good meal with family and friends even more, spiced with a good drink. She was married to Paul Don for over 50 years and together they raised a family on a farm in Dresden along the Eastern River. She was the mother of daughter Tamara and son Michael. She leaves behind Tamara and her husband George (Lemar), and grandsons Russell and Gregary. She also leaves behind son Michael, his wife Christine who Zena referred to as "daughter #2," their daughters Natasha, Avary and Theresa, and son Nicholas. Along with them she also leaves behind her "adopted" daughter Natasha Woodland. Services will be held on Saturday, the 29th of July at 1 o'clock at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, Me. with an immediate burial at the Richmond Cemetery following the memorial service. Afterwards a reception will be held at The Montsweag Roadhouse restaurant on Rt. 1, Woolwich. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kincer Funeral Home 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, Me www.kincerfuneralhome.com
